It’s been some days since I’ve updated the blog, but not a lot has been going on. The days have basically been the same, going on ice in the morning and biking or running in the afternoon.
The trainings on ice have been pretty good. The track has a pretty big warm up lane, which is the one we will be skating on in the mass start. This essentially means the track will be a little smaller and with sharper corners than usual. I guess, as an inliner, this should be an advantage. I do like the track a lot, and I feel comfortable in the corners, but I guess I won’t really know until the race.
As I’m writing this, there is only 6,5 hours until I will be standing on the startline. It’s finally my turn! I’m really excited to see how everything turns out. I’m feeling very good, but a little nervous. Usually that disappears once the start gun has shot.
I’ll write a short blog about my thoughts after the race and maybe talk a little bit about what I expect for next year and my chances to be back here in the Olympic city in less than one year!
